Dr. Mike Robinson, host of 3 Questions interviewed Kris Giere, Program Chair Ivy Tech Community College regarding the benefits of a Strengths-Based Pedagogy.
Kris Giere received a Master of English degree from Indiana State University in 2008. He has taught at four-year and two-year institutions in both Indiana and Colorado, specializing in developmental education, at-risk students, and remediation. In his most recent position as Program Chair at Ivy Tech Community College, Giere redesigned programs, empowered faculty, trained with Gallup’s StrengthsQuest program, and joined IndyReads’ community literacy initiative as a tutor. Now as an education consultant and adjunct professor, Giere continues to promote people-centered models of education reform, leadership, and professional development.
