"The Tribute" is an important contribution to the subject of African-American history. Presented in verse form, and illustrated with beautiful sketches, the book tells about 25 important leaders - many of them not well known, including Garrett Morgan, the inventor of the traffic signal and Madam C. J. Walker, the first black female millionarie. There are also familiar names of Martin Luther King Jr, Rosa Parks, Muhammad Ali and Jackie Robinson.

Traci Noland Jackson is an author, poet, and screen writer. The Tribute is her first book and it is about the accomplishments of 25 African American Leaders. The book was written in an verse form to make it easy to remember. It includes a quiz at the beginning of the book, to see how much they know about the Leaders, and a quiz at the end of the book, to see how much they have learned. She is currently working on an Animated TV Series that has an anti-bullying theme. Traci loves writing and providing educational materials for youth and kids.
