What Should Students Do When Their Teacher or Coach Is The Bully?

Dr. Mike Robinson, host of Parent Talk Live and his guest Dr. Jennifer Fraser discussed the damaging and sometimes life long effects of bullying on children when the bully is a teacher or coach. What should students do when the teacher or coach is the bully?
Dr. Jennifer Fraser has a PhD in Comparative Literature from the University of Toronto. Her first book was on becoming a writer rather than a reader of culture; her second book was on the importance of empathy in dealing with children; her third book was written as a teacher who found herself embroiled in a bullying crisis in the school at which she was teaching. There were multiple students who reported the bullying in detail to the Headmaster. Dr. Fraser took eight of these testimonies from both boys and girls. The problem was: the bullies weren't on the playground or in the hallways. They were Teachers. Fraser's battle to face this taboo topic and see laws changed to protect children forms the subject of her third book: Teaching Bullies: Zero Tolerance on the Court or in the Classroom. Internationally renowned author and educator, Barbara Coloroso says: "Fraser's focus on Coaches and Teachers is a new and important contribution to the field."
