Annual Message to a Nation of Graduates

In 2013, Dr. Michelle Howard Vital provided our first annual message to a nation of graduates. In 2014, Dr. Elwood Robinson, the current Chancellor of Winston-Salem State University, delivered our 2nd eCommencement. Dr. Marcia G. Welsh, the 13th President of East Stroudsburg University addressed the 2015 graduates in our 3rd annual eCommencement Address. The 2016 eCommencement Address was offered by Dr. Cesar Maldonado, Chancellor Houston Community College. The 2017 eCommencement Address was given by Dr. Thom Chesney president of Brookhaven College in Farmers Branch, Texas, one of the Dallas County Community College District (DCCCD) colleges. Our 2018 eCommencement Address was a first, as Dr. Avis Williams, superintendent for the Selma School District, provided a powerful message to all graduates. The 2019 Dr. Dawn Lindsay, the sixth president of Anne Arundel Community College, delivered our eCommencement Address. Our 2020 eCommencement Address was provided by Dr. Mickey L. Burnim, interim president of Coppin State University.  In 2021 our eCommencement Address was presented by Dr. Kathleen Hetherington, President, Howard Community College.
