Bio: As Chief Communications Officer, Dorothy Powers leads PLTW’s national communications, marketing, and branding initiatives. Powers brings significant experience in bridging the world of data analytics and communications, as well as background in project management, team leadership, and research.
She joined PLTW from Deloitte Consulting, where she was a manager specializing in supply chain and manufacturing operations with aerospace and defense and life sciences companies. Most recently, she was the lead and author on a series of World Economic Forum reports on manufacturing competitiveness and talent development for the manufacturing sector. Her previous roles also include experience working in Nairobi, Kenya, and managing global project teams.
Powers earned her MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Kenan-Flagler Business School and her BA in English from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina.
