Welcome to Parents and PGCPS: Conversations for the Engaged Parent and Dedicated Educator. I am your host Dr. Michael Robinson. Over the past several days, I have embarked on a journey across our beautifully diverse communities to talk with parents/families, educators, community and civic leaders regarding their views and perspectives about the future of education in Prince George’s County.
One of those voices is that of Krystal Oriadha.

Krystal is an ACTIVIST! Not just another politician. She is running to help uplift the voice of our community, not to be just another elected official. As a member of the County Council she will fight to pass legislation to improve the education system, ensure that economic development serves all, and uplift the overall quality of life in our community.
For too long we have seen our neighborhoods developed only for many residents to be pushed out so others can reap the benefits. We have watched as the education system has failed our children and teachers have not been provided the support and respect they deserve for shaping the minds of our future.
Krystal believes that as a community, we must demand better from those elected to serve, and do better when asked to serve. We must continue to work together because one person or office is not to blame. We must all take responsibility and share the burden of building a community we can be proud of. That is part of the reason Krystal is running. She believes we need to step up and demand better for ourselves and do better for our community!
Krystal is a member of Community of Hope AME in Temple Hills, MD. Krystal earned her BBA in International Business with a concentration in Marketing at Howard University, Washington, DC, and her MBA at Amberton University, Garland, TX.
She is actively involved with and a member of ProgressiveMD, Progressive Action, Brothers and Sisters for Action, Leaders of Tomorrow and The International Fraternity of Delta Sigma Pi, Iota Rho Chapter, Washington, DC.
