George Stewart II is not big on titles or labels, but if you must label him, he prefers dedicated husband, father, community servant, or a “Man of God.” His desire to be the man that God created him to be has led him to the point in his life where he feels called to help guide the lives of young people, especially young men. As the older brother of two siblings, George feels he’s been doing this almost all of his life. However, professionally, he’s served in this capacity for the last 7 years, as an educator in Houston, TX and now Jackson, MS.
Q. How is Your Work Changing The Narrative?
As a husband, father, educator, and a man of faith, I have gained very valuable experience and insight. These experiences and insights have allowed him the opportunity to author my first book, contribute to national magazines/blogs, and speak at major events. Recently, I became the co-founder of an after school program. This program was created for at risk boys and promotes academic excellence, health/fitness, and making positive life choices using the game of basketball. I am planning to write my second book, which is equipping me to minister the Word of God, and deliver his messages across the country.
I believe that true success comes when we first realize that God created us all for a specific purpose and then do what we were created to do. My vision is to create a space where young men are developed under this idea of success, and in turn those young men go out and become leaders in their homes and in their communities.
