Dr. Michael Robinson, the host of The Yard, was joined by Aaron T. Terrell, a 2007 graduate of Kentucky State University. Aaron recalls some of his fondest memories, life changing experiences and friendships that have been staples of strength comfort. He also shared his views on the type of effective fiscal leadership Kentucky State University will need to return to a leading institution of higher education.

A driven, passionate administrative professional, Aaron T. Terrell has diverse experience in organizational development and finance across non-profits, education and health insurance industries. Currently, Aaron works on a team overseeing administrative operations for the Greater Charlotte Region at Atrium Health (Assistant to the EVP, President). He has expertise leading operations and process management initiatives for top-ranking companies such as DeVry University, Career Education Corporation, United Health Group, Blue Cross Blue Shield and Northwestern Medicine.
Aaron holds a M.A. in Organizational Leadership from Lewis University. He has a passion and focus on community engagement. He actively supports organizations that provide opportunities for growth in underprivileged communities. Aaron sits on the Board of Directors at Progressive Baptist Church and Knowing Your Worth, a nonprofit with a mission to uplift young women, maintain self-esteem and drive self-confidence. He also is a consultant with the Lewis Simmons Foundation where he works on job readiness programs for prison detainees who are scheduled to be released.
Aaron is passionate about his Alma Mater and works to help further the institution and build bridges one bred at a time. Aaron is a proud 2007 graduate of Kentucky State University where he received a B.A. in Public Administration with a focus on nonprofits and finance. During his undergraduate tenure at KSU, he was Chief of Staff and Junior Class Treasurer for the Student Government Association, Freshman Mentor, Gospel Ensemble Student Director and Assistant to the Director of Concert Choir. Building upon his experiences as a thoroughbred, Aaron progressed to hold many National leadership positions including serving as the National Treasurer & Chaplain of the Kentucky State University National Alumni Association, Minister of Music, Worship Leader, NAACP ACT-SO Competition Mentor and Judge.
