Dr. Cheryl Anderson
The Importance of Talking Gun Safety with Your Children
Dr. Cheryl Anderson is a wife, mother, grandmother and educator. She believes that her children encompass her greatest accomplishments. They have been very instrumental in the way her life has progressed. Just like she wanted the best for her children, she has always wanted the best for all children. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Management & Marketing in 1983 from Mercer University in Atlanta, GA. After several years, she returned to school and completed the Middle Grade Certification Program at Brenau University in Gainesville, GA. She earned a master’s degree in Library and Information Science from Clark Atlanta University and received her Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from Capella University in 2006. She holds Georgia State Certifications in the areas of Middle Grades, Library Media and in K-12 Leadership. Dr. Anderson believes that children must be taught expectations in all areas of their lives and that includes behavior. She believes that teaching children how to respond in various situations gives them a stronger chance at a successful outcome.
