Paul Lebo
Paul Lebo is the Chief Operating Officer for Frederick County Public Schools. He supervises the Division of Operations, and his teams plan and maintain schools and other facilities, provide transportation for students, manage the technology infrastructure, and offer security and safety oversight. Mr. Lebo oversees Capital Programs, Maintenance & Operations, Security & Emergency Management, Technology Infrastructure, Transportation, and Use of Facilities.
Mr. Lebo earned his Bachelor of Arts from Western Maryland College in Westminster, where he was a Distinguished Military Graduate and George C. Marshall Award recipient. He is a graduate of the Federal Executive Institute’s Leadership for a Democratic Society and earned a Master of Public Administration from Excelsior College.
Mr. Lebo began his professional career as an Army officer, serving in several leadership, command, and staff positions. While in the Army, he was awarded both the Bronze and Silver Stars. After leaving the military, he served in a variety of staff and management positions in several government agencies, including: the Department of Homeland Security, Health and Human Services, and the U.S. Department of Education. He comes to FCPS most recently from the U.S. Department of Education, where he was the Deputy Chief Administration Officer for Federal Student Aid.
Dr. Jamie Aliveto
Dr. Jamie Aliveto is Executive Director of System Accountability and School Administration. In this role, she reports directly to the Deputy Superintendent and provides oversight for a team of 40 staff who tend to all department work including local and state assessment programs, the system’s multi-tiered system of supports, school improvement, research and program evaluation, official data reporting including the FCPS Master Plan and Strategic Plan, and the Student Information System (SIS). In addition, she and her team have oversight of the school administrators for each FCPS school. Supporting stakeholders across the system, Dr. Aliveto plays a significant role in supporting schools in their improvement efforts and building school and system cultures around data literacy. Dr. Aliveto previously served the school system as the Director of System Accountability and School Improvement and Supervisor of Student Achievement. Prior to that, she served as Principal and Assistant Principal at the middle school level. She began her career as a special education teacher in 1997. Dr. Aliveto earner her Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education in 1995 and Master of Science degree in special education in 1997, both at West Virginia University. She earned her Administrator I and II certificate after completing a program at Hood College in 2004. Dr. Aliveto completed a doctoral program in educational leadership at Shippensburg and Millersville University with a focus on executive leadership in 2018 and earned her Superintendent’s endorsement in the state of Maryland in 2019. She was recently invited to be on the Regional Education Laboratory (REL) Mid-Atlantic Governing Board. Dr. Aliveto has a passion for creating and supporting positive cultures, built around inquiry and belief mindsets, to support adult and student learning.
