Welcome to Parents and PGCPS: Conversations for the Engaged Parent and Dedicated Educator. I am your host Dr. Michael Robinson. Over the past several days, I have embarked on a journey across our beautifully diverse communities to talk with parents/families, educators, community and civic leaders regarding their views and perspectives about the future of education in Prince George’s County.
One of those voices is that of Mr. Author Cutler.
Arthur Cutler, II

Arthur Cutler, II serves as the Chief Operating Officer at Fair Chance; a consulting organization for youth serving nonprofit organizations. Arthur is responsible for the budget and directs organizational planning and accountability, human resources, and day-to-day office operations and technology systems. Arthur has considerable experience in organizational management, operations, board governance, human resources, strategic planning, resource development and training.
Arthur has a B.A. in political science from Morehouse College, a law degree from Michigan State University and completed his Nonprofit Executive Management studies at Georgetown University. Previously, he worked as the Coalition Membership Director at the National Crime Prevention Council, Deputy Director of Network Growth with the Alliance for Nonprofit Management and Director of Organizational Management with the National Disability Rights Network.
Arthur is a former Presidential Management Fellow. He has worked with The Department of Justice, Drug Enforcement Agency, The Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearm Agency (ATF), and The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Agency (HHS). Arthur was named by the Aspen Institute and American Express as one of the Emerging Social Sector Leaders of 2015.
Arthur is also a graduate of the American Express Leadership Academy. Arthur has been invited on several occasions by the US Department of State and Legacy International to join the US Delegation to travel to Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria and serve as an NGO expert and provide training, lectures and presentations for government officials, NGOs and academic institutions. Arthur also serves as an adjunct professor at the Michigan State University College of Law where he teaches Nonprofit Law.
Arthur is a member of the 100 Black Men of Greater Washington and PTA President at Fort Foote Elementary. He is also the Administrator/Coach of the newly formed Fort Washington Clippers of the Prince Georges Youth Lacrosse League.
Arthur is married to Tracy Cutler and they have two kids, Arthur III and Braelyn Gabrielle. They reside in Fort Washington, MD.
