Seven Reasons Why It’s Important to Expand the Voices of the Seldom Heard
Michel Davis Robinson
Founder and CEO of Forest Of The Rain Productions

The mission of Forest Of The Productions is to expand the voices of the seldom heard in education, fair housing, parental/family engagement, academic research, the business of education and civic involvement. These areas and the scholars, practitioners, civic and community leaders within them can help galvanize Americans and those around the world about the intrinsic value of an educated society.
1. Creating sustainable solutions to complex challenges on a local, national and international scale can only be achieved when there is a diversity of minds working in collaboration.
2. Opening access to information and resources will lead to opportunities for more to participate and contribute to the growth and development of our local and global societies.
3. Expanding the voices of the seldom heard will support the creation, development, and incorporation of a positive understanding of us and others.
4. Establishing a culture of inclusion occurs when there is an increase in access to information and more opportunities for participation in the changing of unhealthy, unsafe and underdeveloped people, communities and nations.
5. Including the voices of all those who desire to be heard reduces the causes for social and professional exclusion and represents a basic human right.
6. Unconventional voices bring a different way of thinking, typically addressing questions and problems others have missed. The unconventional voice prevents group-think.
7. Adding the voices of the seldom heard makes us a smarter society.
