Q. How is your work changing the narrative?: This work is changing the narrative because we are working to give all boys of color access to the futures they want. We are doing this by creating culturally competent teachers (regardless of their race) teaching with culturally relevant content. We are also urging schools to move toward holistic school change. This change is based on meeting children where they are, and not basing reform efforts on test scores.
