Parent Volunteer and Public School Advocate
Shares Her Views on Education
Dr. Mike Robinson
Welcome to Parents and PGCPS: Conversations for the Engaged Parent and Dedicated Educator. I am your host Dr. Michael Robinson. Over the past several days, I have embarked on a journey across our beautifully diverse communities to talk with parents/families, educators, community and civic leaders regarding their views and perspectives about the future of education in Prince George’s County.
One of those voices is that of Mrs. Lori Morrow
Lori Morrow is an active parent volunteer and public school advocate in Prince George's County. She grew up in California and graduated from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN with a Bachelor's degree in Economics. After serving five years as an Officer in the United States Air Force, Lori left the service to be a stay-at-home mom.
Her husband's military service brought the family to Maryland in 2005. Since her children started school in PGCPS, Lori has served in many volunteer roles including PTA President at Tulip Grove Elementary School and PTSO President at Benjamin Tasker Middle School. She is currently a Member of the PGCPS Board of Education's Parent & Community Advisory Council and is a frequent blog contributor for the Prince George's County Advocates for Better Schools (www.pgcabs.org).
