Dr. Mike Robinson: What are your thoughts on Plant-Based foods as a replacement for meat for those seeking to reduce or eliminate meat?
Dr. Brenda Bradley: The design of the human body is not like that of carnivorous mammals. Digestive tracts are not designed to digest and dispose of meat properly. We, humans, have a much longer digestive tract that includes many bends and pockets. Because our stomach acid does not entirely break down meat (as it does with plant-based foods), undigested meat can get trapped in these bends and pockets. It can putrefy (rot/decay) for days, delaying elimination and causing toxicity – a key disease creation component.
Food has the incredible power to both create and destroy health. The dense, living nutrients found in a diet of primarily raw, plant-based foods are the ingredients needed to meet and satisfy your cells’ nutritional needs, restore damaged cells, and rebuild whole-body health that will last a lifetime.
Dr. Mike Robinson: What are the benefits of using plant-based foods?
Dr. Brenda Bradley: Scientific research shows that health benefits increase as food from animal sources in the diet decreases. Here are several documented health benefits:
Dr. Mike Robinson: Can you share the harm of a diet that includes processed meats?
Dr. Brenda Bradley: Processed meats are meats that have been preserved by smoking or salting, curing, or adding chemical preservatives. According to research, people who eat many kinds of meats are more likely to increase their risk of heart disease, diabetes, cancer, and early death.
Dr. Mike Robinson: Is plant-based meat Vegetarian?
Dr. Brenda Bradley: Plant-based meats are made from plants. They are designed and created to look and taste like conventional meat. Therefore, they are considered vegetarian.
Dr. Brenda T. Bradley has had a remarkable career and life that has taken many twists and turns. From being a US service member in the Air Force to being a Certified Health coach, the one common denominator has been a desire to serve others and make the world around her a better—healthier—place to live in. After struggling with her own health goals and learning about the body and what it needs to perform optimally, she made the switch to a plant-based diet. This diet she credits for helping her not only improve her weight, but improve her immunity, mood, and overall health. In 2016 she developed “The 21-Day Vegan Challenge.” This challenge is a vegan-only program that has been designed for anyone desiring to make a lifestyle change or to explore and experience the healthy benefits of a vegan diet.
She is a trusted Certified Health Coach that gets results. As a speaker she captivates, inspires, and educates her audience through compelling stories that will move her audience. She has helped countless individuals lose weight and to adopt a plant-based lifestyle. Her goal is to inspire others to lead the charge for healthy eating and exercise. Dr. Bradley leads workshops on nutrition and offers individual health coaching.

Dr. Mike Robinson: What are the benefits of using plant-based foods?
Dr. Brenda Bradley: Scientific research shows that health benefits increase as food from animal sources in the diet decreases. Here are several documented health benefits:
- You will keep your weight down. The standard American diet—high in saturated fats and processed foods and low in plant-based foods and complex carbohydrates—makes us fat and kills us slowly.
- You will ward off disease. Vegetarian diets are more healthful than the average American diet, particularly in preventing, treating, or reversing heart disease and reducing cancer risk.
- You will ease the symptoms of menopause. Many foods contain nutrients beneficial to menopausal women. Certain foods are rich in phytoestrogens, the plant-based chemical compounds that mimic the behavior of estrogen.
- You will have more energy. Plant-based foods can generate more usable energy. They are naturally free of cholesterol-laden, artery-clogging animal products that physically slow us down and keep us hitting the snooze button morning after morning. And because whole grains, legumes, fruits, and vegetables are so high in complex carbohydrates, they supply the body with plenty of energizing fuel.
- You will be more regular. Eating a lot of vegetables necessarily means consuming more fiber, which pushes waste out of the body. Meat contains no fiber. People who eat lower on the food chain tend to have fewer instances of constipation and hemorrhoids.
