We are always looking to provide opportunities for our students in the area of summer loss. However, we are also trying to develop learners who aren’t forced to read but instead to love reading. You may ask how? First, we are moving in the direction of portfolio and project based learning where reading is not boring but engaging with connections to topics of interests. Required summer reading is the past not the future. The future is choice. Second, we are looking at how best to use technology in this process.
